Civic Science STEM Camp

STEAMit successfully implemented a civic science STEM camp, which included a two-day intensive program and aimed to develop ecological, technological, and research competencies for students from Khobi and Poti schools through observation of the physical parameters of the environment.
As part of the project, we created an educational environmental monitoring device called EcoLab, which measures relative air humidity, temperature, illumination, concentration of harmful gases in the air, air quality,
Includes water TDS and temperature, water pH, water turbidity, and noise pollution sensors.
During the meetings, participants studied how environmental parameters are collected, processed, and transmitted to a server, how sensors are integrated with a microcontroller, and how the obtained data can be used to assess the state of the environment.
The initiative was implemented by the company STEAMit with the support of the Danish Government and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), within the framework of the “Green Future, Rights and Stability” project.
